This holiday season, the Lobby Lounge of Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is adorned with a festive Christmas tree decorated to honor and commemorate the 100th birthday of President Ronald W. Reagan. In anticipation of the Centennial year in 2011, the Reagan Library has decorated a stately, eight-foot Christmas tree with memorabilia of President Reagan’s life, from his childhood in Illinois to his acting years in Hollywood, from his service as California’s Governor to his term as the 40th President of the United States.
The Reagan-themed Christmas tree at Four Seasons promotes a full exhibit on display at the Reagan Library now through January 2, 2011. Guests of Four Seasons are invited to take a tour through a winter wonderland featuring 24 trees decorated to celebrate the defining moments of America’s road to greatness, from the Revolutionary Era to today. Each tree reflects the life and times of American society and culture during each decade between 1700 and 2010, thus tracing the evolution of America. Through the use of lights, ornaments and decorations, each tree becomes its own piece of magnificent art. Also on display will be a collection of beautiful hand-crafted menorahs that were given to President Reagan while in the White House.
Admission to the Reagan Library is $12 for adults, $9 for seniors and $6 for children ages 11 to 17 (children ages 10 and under are complimentary). With a special gift coupon available at Four Seasons, guests will receive a 15% discount on purchases in the Reagan Library Museum Store throughout the holidays. The Reagan Library, located at 40 Presidential Drive in Simi Valley, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. In addition, select signature items from the Reagan Library Museum Store are available for purchase in the Lobby Lounge of the Hotel.
